Prithvi Shaw is an extraordinary talent but due to his physical fitness issues and injuries, he hasn’t got a long way on the international level as compared to his peers.
Shaw made his test debut at the age of 18 and smashed a century against the West Indies to declare himself on the biggest stage.
Despite his glamorous start to his international career, Shaw’s chart continued to decline as he faded away from the chart of things from the selectors.

The 22-year-old last played an international match in July 2021 and despite naming several new faces in the Indian squad to keep fresh key players in the big leagues, Shaw failed to get a look.
It is said that one of the main reasons for Shaw’s absence from the Indian team is his fitness issues.
Before the start of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) there were reports that the Mumbai bat had failed the yo-yo test, but as it was not the main criterion for selecting cricket, this year he played for the Delhi Capitals.
When a team from the second series of the ongoing three-match ODI series against South Africa was named, Shaw’s name was again missing from the team as the selectors picked new faces such as Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajat Patidar and Rahul Tripathi.
Disappointed after not being selected, Shaw posted a cryptic message on Instagram, targeting the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
This is heartbreaking.
