Magda Zhubansky slams ‘diet culture’ and ‘horrible’ doctors telling her to lose weight

Magda Zhubansky has come out veering against the “diet culture” and the stigma associated with obesity.

In an article he published News letters On Sunday, the former Kath & Kim star, 61, reflected on her lifelong weight battle and why diets aren’t the answer to her problem.

“We’ve all done the diets and the stats are horrible – only a small minority of people manage to keep the extra weight off,” the 61-year-old wrote.

Magda Zhubansky, 61, criticized the “diet culture” and “terrible” doctors who told her to lose weight in an ABC News article on Sunday.

“What’s sustainable and maintainable, that’s a much bigger challenge. I’ve lost weight before, and as the endocrinologist said, the drive to eat – the hunger drive – is very strong.

Magda insisted that the diets did nothing but disrupt her metabolism, making her weight control more difficult.

Doctors have been telling me really horrible things in the past, like “You need to lose weight” and I’d say, “What do you suggest I do?” And they say, “Eat less, move more.”

“That’s not true, now there is a lot of understanding of complex endocrinology for people who are overweight – there could be a lot going on.”

The Pep star even blamed society’s obsession with “healthy ideals” and “anti-fat attitudes” as the cause of people becoming obese.

She believes that when obese people are not bullied, their cortisol levels will drop, making it easier for them to lose weight.

Cortisol stimulates the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, which leads to an increase in appetite.

Magda hopes to raise awareness about the importance of healthy living with her new TV series Magda’s Big National Health Check on ABC, which airs Tuesday.

Another added, “I lose some weight after that.”

Despite receiving a lot of support from fans, the controversial tweet saw more personal attacks.

Have you ever seen any obese seniors? No, because they all die young. If you’re going to do it yourself, you’ll have to accept the note,’ another wrote.

Magda was so happy to criticize the backlash that she accused netizens of saying they were throwing “toxic self-hate” at her, because they thought she “would not resist”.

It’s very clear from the response to my tweet that some people hate fat people because their hearts are so full of hate that they need to throw all their toxic self-hate on someone they think won’t resist.

Well, not that fat little duckling. ‘She has teeth,’ she wrote.

This isn’t the first time Magda has once again applauded ruthless online trolls who have mocked her for her weight.

Magda’s midget tweeted in March of this year: “Go on a diet. Not rocket science and stop being a pathetic victim.

Magda’s stinging response spread after she told them that “there is no cure for aging”.

Thank you for the unsolicited medical advice WinnieLotsOfNumbersBot. I’ve been following many diets.”

‘Maybe you’re right. Perhaps diet is the long-term solution (debatable). Unfortunately for you, there is unfortunately no cure.
