The Transamerica Institute® publishes a new cookbook in its Healthier Traditions Cookbook™ series

Los AngelesAnd the October 27 2022 /PRNewswire/ — More than one in 10 Americans (13 percent) plan to live to age 100 or more, but relatively few are taking enough steps to protect their health, according to a recent survey.1 To help support people’s health and longevity, the nonprofit Transamerica® Institute publish a new cookbook, The Healthy Traditions Cookbook: Around the Worldas part of Healthier Traditions Cookbook™ series.

The Healthy Traditions Cookbook: Around the World Recipes inspired by traditional dishes from 19 countries across six continents, serving delicious dishes such as Australia Sweet Pavlova, delicious Korean cheesecake, and Cuba Classic Piccadilo. This cookbook encourages people of all culinary skill levels to learn about how others around the world eat. It offers recipes that contain both rich history and unique healthy ingredients.

He said: “Our eating habits are shaped by many factors, including personal beliefs, cultural backgrounds, lifestyle, dietary preferences, health conditions, availability and access. The Healthy Traditions Cookbook: Around the World Includes nutritional facts, evidence-based advice, and historical details. The cookbook was created – along with others in the series – by a registered dietitian through extensive research and recipe testing. Her nutritious and flavor-packed recipes include as many vegetables as possible, use healthy oils, minimize refined grains and added sweeteners, and maximize flavor from spices and herbs, while aiming to honor the essence of each dish.

“We hope that all readers will enjoy learning how to cook these dishes as well as a little information about the history and ingredients used to make them.
