Health and Food Inspections in Natrona County (9/16/22-9/24/22)

Casper, Yu. The Casper-Natrona County Health Department inspects restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile food units, commissions and food sales. Every facility has a spot inspection at least twice a year.

According to the department, “there are three types of violations: priority, primary and essential.”

While the Ministry of Health looks for deficiencies, the foundation’s main goal is to educate companies and help them understand unsafe practices and ways to correct them.

According to Ruth Heald, director of the Natrona County Environmental Health Program, “there is no slip gauge, pass, or health screening failure.” It says each violation is fixed either immediately or within 10 days, which means the violation does not make the business unsafe.

If a recheck is required, the problem may be more serious or the facility may require more time to fix. They have 10 days to fix the problem, and according to Heald, most facilities can easily meet the requirements.

Any serious violations or notable quotations will be included in the summary notes below, but the full report for each restaurant can be found in the section websitewhere they publish all their current information.
