2. Raita is a nutrient dense food with high quality protein and is a potential source of vitamins and minerals. It contains live bacteria such as Lactobacillus bulgaricus and streptococcus thermophilus.

Ingredients
100 g curd
Peanut 20 grams
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper/red pepper powder
Roasted cumin seed powder 1/4 tsp

method

  • Beat the curds well until smooth and free of lumps.
  • Hummus 20 grams of peanuts. Remove the peel, grind it coarsely and mix with the whipped curd.

2. Beetroot and spinach raita

Ingredients
100 g curd
40g spinach
Beetroot 30 grams
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper/red pepper powder
Roasted cumin seed powder 1/4 tsp

method

  • Beat the curds well until smooth and free of lumps.
  • Pick the spinach leaves, wash them and cook over a slow fire until they are soft, grind them until they become a smooth paste, grate the beetroot and mix the grated spinach and beetroot paste with the whipped curd.
  • Add salt, pepper and toasted cumin seed powder and serve.

3. Mix Berry Raita

Ingredients
100 g curd
Dry mix berries (raspberry / cranberry / strawberry) 35 g
castor sugar (optional)

method

  • Beat the curds well until smooth and free of lumps.
  • Soak the berries for 20 minutes, chop them up and mix them with whipped curd
  • Add castor sugar to taste and serve.
